Whether they’re causing aircrafts to divert, or delaying takeoffs, nobody likes a person that can’t behave themselves … especially when it’s time to travel. And when it comes to passengers behaving badly, these seven individuals (not ranked in any particular order) truly stand out.
8-7. The COVID-19 Deniers
There’s no shortage of COVID-19 deniers, and many are finding themselves being escorted off planes because of their stance. Our first entitled passenger was removed from an American Airlines flight for not wearing a face-covering because doing so would be, according to him, “insane.” Self-proclaimed conservative “political activist” Brandon Straka was traveling from La Guardia to Dallas when he was booted for not adhering to COVID-19 safety guidelines. Straka complained once back in the terminal that no one asked if he had a medical condition, but he failed to provide any proof of said condition. That prompted AA to ban him from future flights.
“As a result of this review, Mr. Straka will not be permitted to fly American, as he failed to comply with our stated policy and crew member instructions,” the airline said. “We are committed to protecting the safety and well-being of our customers and team members, which is why we strengthened enforcement of our policy for required face coverings on board. We expect customers who choose to fly with us to comply with these policies, and if necessary, we will deny future travel for customers who refuse to do so.”
And at LAX, police officers were called on board a Spirit Airlines flight to remove another passenger that felt too important to rock a mask. Thankfully, many airlines have started issuing lifetime bans for travelers with egos so yuuuuuge they should probably fly private.
6. The Ryanair Racist
Flying Ryanair is terrible enough, but having to deal with a racist Olaf while on a flight must be some new kind of hell. Unfortunately, that’s what one woman experienced while being berated by an out of control, senile White passenger. “If you don’t go to another seat, I’ll push you to another seat,” the man screams at the Black woman seated next to him on a flight from Barcelona to London. The irate passenger was apparently upset that it took 77-year-old Delsie Gayle too long to move so he could get to his seat. “Don’t talk to me in a foreign language you stupid ugly cow” the man shouts at Gayle as she defends herself. “I will carry on as long as I can with this ugly Black bastard.”
Living up to their reputation of being a trash airline, Ryanair allowed the verbally abusive man to remain on the flight. And the woman changed seats.
5. The Guy Craving Fellatio
This American Airlines passenger spends more than ten minutes berating a flight attendant, passengers and police before being taken off the plane. What set the man off isn’t revealed in the video, but we’re certain “If you don’t like my sh*t, suck my d*ck!” is not an equally measured response. Neither is “I’m gonna beat your a** muthaf*cka!”
4. The Pee Break
Jwan Curry may have a legitimate complaint with Alaska Airlines, but he definitely expressed it in the wrong way. Curry erupted in a violent outburst during a flight from New York to Los Angeles over being denied entry to the first-class cabin bathroom. Curry argued unsuccessfully that the queue in the rear of the plane was too long and that he should have access to the reserved toilets. “You wrong while making seven people wait here to use the bathroom while the whole bathroom up there is empty … we trying to use the bathroom.” Curry’s flight was diverted to Kansas City and the young man was arrested for disorderly conduct.
