I haven’t always been the biggest fan of London’s weather. During most of the year, it’s drizzly and charcoal AF, a somber combination that doesn’t vibe with that of an ideal vacation destination. My first visit to the UK was in 2012, on the heels of stays in Paris and Venice. As a photographer, I found those latter locations much more visually rewarding than London.
This spring, I returned to England’s capital for what I hoped would be a very fast 24-hours. What I found during that window was a new London. A warm and energetic city with bustling neighborhoods that I knew little about prior to my arrival: Camden Town and Brixton.
The video below explores my time in those areas and how they changed my view of a city I once loathed.
